Madonna has just released a new perfume called Truth or Dare. For years she has been obsessed by fragrance, and wanted to create something special which was particularly "an expression of me". After much effort by Madonna herself and Givaudan perfumer, Stephen Nilsen, the final product has now hit the shelves. is aimed at women in the age group 25 to 45 and comes in two formats - 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.
The former President, Binguwa Mutharika, died of a heart attack on April 5, and the Vice President, Joyce Banda, became President on April 7. Madonna previously interviewed Ms Banda back in 2008 for the documentary I Am Because We Are, and was really impressed with her leadership at the time. Commenting on her achievements, Madonna said, "She was really into girls being educated in Africa, which is a good thing. So, I'm glad."
Madonna has a special interest in Malawi, above all she has adopted two Malawian children. A few years previous to the adoption, Madonna and Michael Berg founded Raising Malawi - a charity non-profit organisation dedicated to helping over a million orphans in Malawi. Extreme poverty and hardship are the main issues being tackled, with a focus on a community-based approach to provide immediate direct physical assistance and creating long-term sustainability, providing education for children.
