Lauryn Hill released arguably one of the best RnB albums ever made with her debut solo record of Lauryn Hill in 1998.
Although she was a singer of 37-year-old, has been in and out of the spotlight over the years, she is still in high esteem in the music industry.
She is ready to encourage her children's musical efforts and she brought them on to the stage with her recently.
With their gene pool consisting of Lauryn and their father Rohan Marley, son of the late reggae icon Bob Marley, there is no denying the fact that they would be a talented bunch.
Lauryn has five children with Rohan; Zion, 14, Selah Louise, 13, Joshua Omaru, 10, John Nesta, nine, and four-year-old Sarah.
She is also mother to an 11-month-old boy by another man.
During performance at the High line
Ballroom in New York City recently, it appears the spotlight got too
much for one of her little boys.When he forgot the words to his song ,he started crying on stage as his siblings tried to make him feel better.
Lauryn
tried persuade him to take the mic back, but he couldn't seem to get
over it and she was seen moments later bending down to help console the
youngster as the backup singers continued to sing.
The
proud mother shared mostly the adorable moment with the intimate crowd
as her elder children took individual moments to show off their rapping
skills to the audience.
Each child got the chance so that they could take the mic and the crowd encouraged them with lots of cheers. One of Lauryn's children also appeared to have a cast on his arm, while her little daughter did a great job of singing herself.
Lauryn is maybe trying to brighten the children's spirits after she completely split with their father last year after more than 10 years together.
The 39-year-old is now engaged to supermodel Isabeli Fontana despite only a short courtship.
